My dear PS3, before I let you go…
The thought of giving up video games this week is worse than when I woke this morning to a bright shining sun in my room.
I can still hear my Playstation 3 running. Normally it would be off but I literally played “Red Dead Redemption” all night. I thought it was funny how knowing that I wouldn’t play this game for the next five days gave me all the motivation to keep playing, otherwise my Playstation 3 would be off right now.
While I was playing “Red Dead Redemption,” I was lucky enough to find a treasure in the game that I’ve had such a hard time finding. I also did a mission that featured one of the first automobiles of the twentieth century.
In any other game, riding in a car usually makes things pretty fast-paced, but this time, riding my horse would’ve got me to my destination much faster than that automobile with wheels as big as a bicycle’s. I also did a lot of hunting as well to move up in ranks so that I am closer to becoming the Legend of the West.
The way I see it, I feel more like I’m giving up “Red Dead Redemption” than just video games in general. I do play other games, but “Red Dead” is an achievement on its own because there is just so much to do with so much room on a map to do it.
With the amount of time that I played it last night, I think I got a week’s fix, so hopefully my urge to play won’t rise any time soon. I decided to take this to the next level by letting a good friend of mine borrow my Playstation 3 along with all the games I have. This will be easy. I hope it’s easy.
