No TV: Wrap up

Everyone around the newsroom expected me to go crazy and watch TV non-stop when the project was over.

And much to my surprise, that didn’t happen.

The weekend was pretty much TV free. I did watch “Fringe” on Hulu.com Saturday morning. It was such a good episode. I think watching my first real hour of television with a great show really made me love TV more.

I kept kind of busy on Saturday, so plopping down on the coach to catch up wasn’t really an option. I think it helped that I had gone without watching for a week.

Sunday I watched “Flash Forward” on my DVR. I also got to see the amount of television I taped and had to watch. I had 23 recordings on my DVR. That is insane.

I will admit that I did fall back into the bad habit of channel surfing when I was getting ready for bed. I know that is not healthy and probably keeps me up later. But, it’s so easy and inviting. The dark circles under my eyes do beg to differ I’m sure.

After all of this I know I can cut back and be alright. The world isn’t going to end. And it helps me out a lot. I have more time to focus on work and other creative aspects of my life.

I guess the real question is, what can I give up next?
