I realize that I will need to find multiple activities to replace the hours I watch sports in a week.
In a day I usually watch ESPN all day and wait till the games come on later at night.
With me not watching any sports including ESPN makes it impossible for me to know anything about what happen.
I know many of my fellow mates will think it will be difficult for me, but I think this will give me a chance to prove to myself that I can do anything if I just put the work into it.
First day on the vice project and we are in the newsroom trying to give each other a hard time about they are giving up.
For example, everyone is telling me, “How about that game last night,” “Javier do you want to go with us to the game,” and “I bought you a Lakers shirt and I wanted to give it to you.”
It is very exciting to see everyone is enjoying the beginning of this project and helping each other get through... right?
Today I when I got up from bed, I turned on the television and caught myself almost switching it to ESPN. I reminded myself I couldn’t watch that channel, so I tuned into “Good Day LA.”
At school I don’t have to worry about sports because I am busy doing work, but I know when I get home I will be forcing myself not to change it to ESPN or any channel that is about sports.
But as of now everything is okay!
