No Video Games: Day One

So today’s the first day of me not being able to play any video games. It was only 8 a.m., I was at my Intro to sociology class and I usually pass the time by playing “Tetris” on my cell phone. I only stopped myself because I remembered that I’m supposed to hold out for 5 days. I don’t know how I’ll turn out, but I spent the whole weekend doing nothing, but playing video games. I went “Howie’s Games shack” at the Moreno Valley mall, dropped the 11 dollars to play all day and stayed there from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., on Friday night.

I played the “Left 4 Dead 2” demo once then played “Borderlands” for the rest of the night. I realize that it may seem small, but “Borderlands” is the game I’m getting into right now. On Saturday night, I went to my regular internet cafe in Fontana (yes I know it’s pretty far from home to play video games, but it’s the place I know that’s got the best computers) and spent 4 hours playing “Borderlands,” I knew this would be the last time for awhile, so I made it worth the 10 dollars I paid for the measly four hours I got to play for.

Sunday night I had the privilege of playing “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” with my friends in Cerritos. Fortunately for me I got to play up to the end where I was able to see the ending of the campaign mode and a little bit of the multiplayer online mode which I was promptly kicked off of for sucking so bad that my friend didn’t want me to mess up the stats on my friends profile.

Starting on day one, right now I feel everything will turn out ok, but Friday still feels a long day off, maybe blogging daily will actually be therapeutic, since I love writing. I’m just thankful that I’m busier person than I seem, hopefully life will keep me occupied. Even though I have people’s death cries from “Borderlands” still ringing in my head, I should be able to make it.

I’m feeling pretty optimistic; I just hope I can be this way for the rest of the week.
