It’s a fast-food fast, no more fast-food for 5 whole days! It might not sound too hard, but for me I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have Del taco across the street, or Carl’s Jr. around the corner, so this week I’m going to find out.
I have little to no will power, so I’d like to see if I can stick with it and only eat meals from home, or proper restaurants.
I eat from a fast food restaurant at least once a day, on occasion I’ll eat all three of my daily meals from a fast food place, I don’t take any enjoyment in cooking, so I’d much rather spend a few extra bucks on food someone else has prepared me, if my food hasn’t come from a drive through, then a friend or family member has made it, or it comes in an easy to open bag or another type of microwaveable container.
This week I’m hoping to learn a few new quick recipes, eat much healthier, save some money, and lastly to see if my will power can amount to something.
I woke up early this morning, planning to run and get a breakfast burger from Carl’s Jr. before 8 a.m., when the project would start, but due to unfortunate circumstances, being my friends taking too long to get ready, and then the ridiculous morning traffic all around and on the 91, I didn’t make it to my breakfast location on time.
At 7:46 a.m. I realized I had no chance at making it to Carl’s Jr. on time so I decided that I’d settle for Del Taco, however the clock stroke 7:58 a.m. and all hope was lost.
Just the morning of the first day on the project and I new this week wasn’t going to be easy. After my disappointment I didn’t eat till lunch, when I made myself a sandwich, it wasn’t satisfying.
My plan now is to go to the grocery store and buy everything I find which is similar to something I’d order at a fast food restaurant, but which is simple to make and no more expensive than on a fast food menu.
The week I know is going to be difficult for me, but it does feel nice to have that five dollar bill I’d planned on buying breakfast with still sitting in my purse. If the week goes as planned, what will I spend all the money I saved on?
