No Accessories: Day Two

Yesterday I felt like plain Jane, I thought makeup would at least make my outfit pop but it didn’t.

When I filmed my last minutes of wearing accessories even my little ten year old brother thought it was “just wrong” that I wasn’t wearing any accessories.

My friend Lakia could not believe that I was actually going through with this, she teased me when our favorite song “I’m a Star” came on.

Usually we would point to our earrings or hold up our necklaces when the song would say “you see that ice”, but I had nothing to hold or point to but her earrings.

Her roar of laughter when complained about not wearing any accessories was not helping.
When I got to school during my break between classes I had to do a lot of running around.

While running to get something from my car I stopped running because I did not hear the sound of my bangles clinging together.

I noticed that the sound would give me a rush if I was in a hurry to get somewhere.

The only conversation piece I still had on was my shirt, yet no one noticed but my little brother’s friend who lives next door.

Yet I still had to go to work and wear a uniform that I try to set apart from everyone else by wearing my accessories, but I couldn’t.

It was hard not to at least but on some kind of earrings on so that I could look different from my co-workers.

Plus it didn’t help that my hair was no cooperating so it made it even worse to stand out at work.
In my mind I wondered if the new seasonal employees thought that maybe I was very plain because I had nothing on that set my uniform apart like most of the ladies that work there. It was almost like I was one of the guys.

After being sick for a while I finally decided that today is the day that I go back to the gym again.
Usually I wear a simple head band with my pearl earrings or studs I do not know how I will feel without them.

It may be a little weird because I don’t wear makeup at the gym so I will have nothing that will make me feel feminine.
